    Melanage Skin Brightening System

Last updated 7 hours 26 minutes ago

What is the Melanage Skin Brightening System?

Do you have uneven skin tone, deep pigment issues or melasma? The Melanage Skin Brightening System is a superficial peel designed to improve the texture and appearance of hyper-pigmented skin which involves a medicated masque and an at-home regimen. There is no pain and little-to-no irritation during the application of the mask, and typically the irritation level on the following days is more like a sunburn.

    How does it work?

Melanage I Masque is applied during an office visit where it is compounded freshly by the nurse to ensure its potency and reliability. The masque is removed by the patient after a required length of time depending on their skin type. Patients leave the office with this masque on their face. Patients are responsible for adhering to an easy-to-follow, but strict, at-home regimen involving the application of several Melanage products following masque removal.

    What results can I expect?

Results will vary but generally patients will see a significant improvement in the appearance of pigmented areas. Dark spots will lighten and skin texture and tone will improve. Although most patients experience peeling of their skin, not every patient will notice this. If you do not notice actual peeling, please know that you are still receiving all the benefits of The Melanage Skin Brightening System, such as: stimulation of collagen production, improvement of skin tone and texture, and diminishment of tine lines and pigmentation. Proper skin evaluation by your doctor prior to your peel is important and will help predict the outcome of your peel.

    Who should not be treated?

The Melanage Skin Brightening System SHOULD NOT be used on patients with active cold sores or warts, skin with open wounds, sunburn, excessively sensitive skin, dermatitis or inflammatory rosacea in the area to be treated. Inform your medical professional if you have any history of herpes simplex. You should also not have a Melanage Skin Brightening System if you have a history of allergies, rashes, or other skin reactions, or may be sensitive to any of the components of this treatment. This peel is not recommended if you have taken Accutane within the past year, or received chemotherapy or radiation therapy The Melanage Peel System should not be administered to pregnant or breastfeeding (lactating) women.

    *Individual results may vary

What to Expect from the Laser Hair Removal Process

Last updated 1 day 7 hours ago

Shaving, waxing and plucking unwanted hair can be time-consuming and frustratingly temporary. Laser hair removal is a great long-term solution for facial and body hair. While it is not for everyone, many people who undergo the process are very happy with the results.

    How Does it Work?

Low-energy lasers pass through skin and target hair follicles, preventing growth in active follicles. Dormant hair follicles are not affected, so multiple treatments are needed to stop hair growth in all its cycles.

    Is it Painful?

Some people experience a fairly mild stinging sensation, but the procedure is rarely described as painful. Relative to waxing and other hair removal methods, the discomfort is minimal.

    How Long Does it Take?

This depends on the area you’re treating, as well as your body’s specific hair growth patterns and a variety of other factors. Each session may take between a few minutes and a few hours based on the size of the area, and most people require several treatments over a few months.

    Who is a Good Candidate?

Laser technology has improved, so most people can get results from this treatment. However, those with blonde or white hair are usually not good candidates. Individuals with light skin and dark hair usually see the best results.

    Are There Side Effects?

Generally, side effects are minimal. You may notice some temporary redness or swelling. Occasionally, the skin of the affected area can become irritated to the point where crust or discoloration appears. If you have a preexisting skin condition or very sensitive skin, talk to your doctor before getting laser hair removal.

    What is the melanage miniPeel?

The melanage miniPeel represents a new generation of chemical peels that help reduce fine lines, writildes and brown spots (hyperpigmentation). The melanage miniPeel uses weak acids combined with potent non-acidic ingredients that do not burn, wound or injure the skin, and for this reason can be used to treat patients with darker complexions. While some patients may feel a mild tingling sensation from the peeling solution, the treatment is virtually painless.

    How does it work?

Melanage miniPeel Solution is applied during an in-office visit. The solution is removed by the patient after a required length of time depending on his or her skin type. Patients leave the office with this solution on their face. Patients are responsible for adhering to an easy-to-follow, but strict, at-home regimen involving the application of several melanage products following removal of the miniPeel solution.

    What results can I expect?

Results will vary but generally patients will see an improvement in the texture and appearance of hyper-pigmented skin. Although most patients experience peeling of their skin, not every patient will notice this. If you do not notice actual peeling, please know that you are still receiving all the benefits of the melanage miniPeel, such as: stimulation of collagen production, improvement of skin tone and texture, and diminishment of fine lines, pigmentation and breakouts. Proper skin evaluation by your doctor prior to your peel is important and will help predict the outcome of your peel.

How does the miniPeel compare to the standard melanagen Skin Lightening System?

There is considerably less redness and peeling than the standard melanage. The miniPeel is designed to be administered in a series of 4-6 in-office treatments, every 2-3 weeks, for enhanced skin brightening and smoothing.

    The Advantages of Botox

Looking young and attractive can increase your confidence and improve your social life and professional opportunities. If you feel self-conscious about fine lines and wrinkles in your face, but do not want to undergo a surgical procedure, Botox cosmetic might be a good solution for you.Looking young and attractive can increase your confidence and improve your social life and professional opportunities. If you feel self-conscious about fine lines and wrinkles in your face, but do not want to undergo a surgical procedure, Botox cosmetic might be a good solution for you.

    Non-Surgical Option

Facelift surgeries can be painful and invasive, and require quite a bit of healing time. Non-surgical cosmetic options like Botox require less time, pain, and money, and achieve natural-looking results without the risk of scarring.

    Low-Risk

Right after injection, there may be some bruising or slightly raised areas around the point of injection. However, there are rarely any lasting side effects. The effects of Botox wear off over the next few months, so if you are unhappy with the result, you can simply say no to future injections.

    Quick and Lasting Results

The effects of Botox can be seen within the first few days of treatment. While it is usually necessary to get injections 2 to 3 times each year to maintain the results, Botox can help prevent future wrinkles.

    Youthful Appearance

The biggest advantage of using Botox is its effectiveness at relaxing and reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles in the face. A more youthful appearance has lots of advantages, including increased confidence. Self-consciousness about the look of aging skin can have a negative impact on your social life, and Botox can remedy this.

    Other Effects

Botox was originally used to treat muscle spasms, so if you suffer from tremors or spasms in the face, talk to your doctor about how Botox might help you. Because it is a paralyzing agent, it can have a powerful effect on involuntary muscle movement. It can also help reduce excessive sweating.
